How long does it take, and how long do results last?
The whole process takes just a few minutes - results will be noticeable immediately, with with optimum results seen 5-7 days after treatment (once any potential light swelling has gone down).
Lip enhancements treatments last 9-12 months.
Why might I need lip fillers?
We tend to associate plump and defined lips with youthfulness - our lips are at their fullest in our 20s. We know that as we age, the composition of our lips and surrounding structures thins. Sometimes the lips can be asymmetrical, due to ageing or other lifestyle factors.
From between the ages of 30-40, factors such as sun damage (photodamage), gravity, genetics and smoking play a role, leading to a sad-mouthed or drooping appearance. Lipstick bleed lines and a flattened cupid’s bow will also culminate in a mouth that looks less defined.
We also get younger patients wanting to emulate a particular look, from celebrity or pop culture. We work with you to get results that look well balanced with the rest of your anatomy.
